WILD Featured in Bisnow: Amanda Eastwick Launches Women in Industrial, Logistics & Development
We’re proud to share that Bisnow, one of the leading voices in commercial real estate news, has featured Amanda Eastwick, Director at Cushman & Wakefield and founder of Women in Industrial, Logistics & Development (WILD), in a national story highlighting the launch of our new organization.
This recognition underscores the importance of WILD’s mission: creating more opportunities for women in one of the industry’s most male-dominated sectors.
Launching a Movement
As Bisnow reported:
“This summer, the Nevada-based broker launched Women in Industrial, Logistics and Development, or WILD, a new affinity group aimed at giving women in the sector more access to education and networking.”
Eastwick explained the vision clearly:
“We’re trying to create a movement. It’s just creating a platform where we can do better for the younger generations.”
From the start, WILD has been designed as more than an organization — it’s about shifting the culture of industrial real estate and creating pathways for women who are ready to lead.
Why WILD Is Needed
The Bisnow article points out that women remain underrepresented in commercial real estate overall, and especially in industrial.
According to Bisnow’s 2025 DEI Data Series, women hold just 27.5% of C-suite roles and 32.9% of board seats across the 100 largest CRE firms. A survey by the Commercial Real Estate Women Network found that less than half of women in the business (47.9%) work in industrial, compared with 71% in office and 58% in retail.
These numbers highlight both the opportunity and the challenge. Industrial real estate is one of the fastest-growing, most transformative sectors of the economy — yet women remain underrepresented at every level. WILD aims to change that.
National Vision, Reno Launch
While WILD has national ambitions, it all begins in Reno, Nevada.
October 22: Soft launch at The Club at Rancharrah
January 15: Official kickoff dinner
March 17: Hard Hats & Headshots, a networking event designed to connect women and celebrate their professional presence
May 12: First BuildHER program, diving into northern Nevada’s electrical grid and the data centers fueling artificial intelligence growth
By combining networking with education, WILD ensures that members not only connect but also gain critical knowledge about the forces shaping industrial real estate.
And with memberships starting at just $100 a year, WILD is designed to be inclusive and accessible to women at all stages of their careers.
More Than a DEI Box
The launch of WILD comes at a time when corporate America is pulling back on diversity, equity and inclusion commitments under political pressure. But as Amanda told Bisnow, that’s not what this is about.
“I don’t think that we’re filling a void. This is not checking a corporate initiative box at all.”
Instead, WILD is built on the recognition that industrial is not just another sector of commercial real estate, it’s the backbone of the modern economy. From supply chain logistics to the rise of AI-powered data centers, industrial will define the next generation of growth.
As Amanda said:
“Industrial is the future of business and a strength in our economy. Women are not waiting to be included.”
Why Media Recognition Matters
Being featured in Bisnow matters because it amplifies WILD’s story to a national audience and validates the urgency of this mission. Coverage in a respected outlet shines a spotlight on the women leading change in industrial real estate and ensures that this conversation reaches decision-makers, investors and future members across the country.
By highlighting both the hard data and the human stories, Bisnow’s coverage shows that this is about more than just representation, it’s about preparing women to shape the future of industrial, logistics and development.
Amanda’s Take on the Bisnow Feature
Being featured in Bisnow is both an honor and a reflection of the momentum building around WILD. It affirms that the industry is ready to recognize the leadership, vision and impact of women in industrial, logistics and development. For me, this coverage isn’t just about visibility; it’s about laying the foundation for greater influence and growth.
I see WILD becoming a powerful, connected network that spans markets and state lines, creating a community where women know they belong, where their voices are amplified and where leadership is collaborative and unapologetically strong.
